John Haas, 57, president of the Mutual Aid Society at Ball Brothers Company, died at his home, 2313 Mock Ave., Thursday at 6 p.m. after a long illness. He was a foreman at Ball Brothers and had been in the employ of the company 30 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Industry U.B. Church, Saturday at 2 p.m., by the Reverend E.C. Miser. Burial will be in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
Mr. Haas was a member of the Moose, Red Men's and Haymakers' lodges. He is survived by the widow, Nora May; three sons, Walter, Fred, and John Haas, Jr.; three daughters, Mrs. Corma Strong, Mrs. Bessie West, and Miss Lois Haas, all of Muncie; two brothers, Valentine Haas of Striker, Ohio, and August Haas of Muncie; and four grandchildren.
The body has been returned to the residence from the Meeks Mortuary.
