David Steven Tomlin, 64, of Decatur, died Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Heartland of Decatur.
Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Thursday, April 21, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, with military rites conducted by Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to Guide Dogs for the Blind.
David was born March 17, 1947, in Lincoln, IL, the son of Noel I. and Francis (Stevens) Tomlin. He married Barbara Massey in Decatur in June 1973. David was a retired Macon County Correctional Officer. He was also a HOG chapter member, and a member of Macon County Honor Guard.
He is survived by his wife Barbara of Decatur; son Scott E. Yoakum of Decatur; brothers and sister: Phyllis Baker of Lombard, IL; John (Audry) Tomlin of Greenview, IL; Ann Budke of Manito, IL; Richard (Alma) Tomlin of Bloomington-Normal, IL; Paul (Janice) Tomlin of Caston, IL; and Dennis (Donna) Tomlin of California.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
