A true Minnesota icon, Cedric Adams was a newspaper columnist, radio personality, newscaster, variety show emcee and more, whose name was known by almost everyone in the Upper Midwest in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s. Cedric's folksy humor, infectious laugh, and provincial style endeared him to his audiences.

Known as 'the hardest working journalist in the world,' at one point he did 54 radio shows, eight television broadcasts, and 15 newspaper columns a week! Pilots flying over the Upper Midwest reported watching the lights go out all over the region each night when Cedric finished his 10 p.m. newscast. His radio shows and newspaper columns were syndicated throughout the country, and he was also a regular fill-in for Arthur Godfrey on CBS television. Upon Cedric's death at age 58 in 1961, one fan said it was like losing his "daily companion of 30 years." (Kimberly Adams-Plehal, WhitePineLane)
