CHESTERFIELD, Nov. 25 — The combined funeral services of six members of one family, who were killed in an auto—tanker-truck collision Sunday afternoon, will be conducted at 3 p. m. Tuesday from Long Branch Baptist Church.
Combined services are scheduled for Robert Hazel Miles, 32, his wife, Christine Pierce Miles, 29, his two daughters, Judy, 9, and Jewel, 13 months, or near Lancaster, his mother, Mrs. Mary Sullivan Miles, 50, and his sister, Betty Jean, 15, of near Jefferson.
The victims all perished in the accident on the Ruby and Hartsville highway, between highway 85 and U.S. Highway 1.
Mr. Miles and Betty Jean Miles are survived by their father, Oscar Miles of Jefferson, and two brothers, Carrol of Fort Mill, and James E. of Hollywood, Fla.
Mrs. Hazel Miles is survived by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Emsley Pierce of Hartsville: four sisters, Mrs. Jeanette Morrison of Bethune, Patricia and Evelyn Pierce of Hartsville and Mrs. Ernest Smothers of Munich, Germany, and three brothers, Emsley W. Pierce, and Danny and Billy, all of Hartsville.
Mrs. Mary Miles is survived by her husband, Oscar Miles of Jefferson; two sons, Carrol of Rock Hill and James of Hollywood, Fla.; her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Sullivan of Jefferson; two brothers, Roy Sullivan of Fort Mill and Bob Sullivan of Jefferson; two sisters, Mrs. Legon Johnson of Angelus and Mrs. Ernest Griffin of Kannapolis; and one grandchild.
