Actress, Director, Producer. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, she started playing bit parts in silent films for Biograph Studios under the direction of D.W. Griffith in her early teens. In October 1913, she married actor Wallace Reid and performed with him in films to include "The Sea Dog" (1913), "The Adventurer" (1915), "Treason" (1917) and "The Masked Avenger" (1922). After her husband Reid's death in 1923, in addition to performing, she produced and directed the films "Human Wreckage" (1923), "The Red Kimono" (1925), "Linda" (1929), "Road to Ruin" (1934) and "Footsteps in the Fog" (1956). She was also sister to actresses Ann and Kate Davenport.
