Born May 27, 1900, in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Anna Boswell Hughes.
She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy. She married George A. Stubler in 1928 in St. Joseph church in Oil City, PA. Her husband preceeded her in death in 1965.
Mrs. Stubler was a member of St. Joseph Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Society. She was also an avid bridge player.
Mrs. Stubler was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by a daughter: Mrs. James W. (Marilyn) Beichner of Oil City, two sons: Robert Hughes Stubler of Buellton, CA, and William J. Stubler of Oil City; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceeded in death by a son, George E. "Bud" Stubler in 1979; a brother, Edward B. Hughes; and two sisters, Kathryn Kahle and Sue McLaughlin.
