This is according to the interpretation of an article which appeared in a Methodist paper (possibly the Advocate) shortly after the death of Rev. James Harvey mashburn in 1876. It was interpreted and typed by Edna G. Simpson of Knoxville, TN in 1970. Nancy had a brother, John W. Hargrove, who was a prominent Minister and is also buried in Alta Vista Cemetery.
