Mattie Ila Lowe, 82, of Gainesville died Wednesday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
A beautician, she was born to the late Dock Samuel Sr. and Lilian Lowe. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her brothers, John E. Lowe, Harry Lowe, Robert W. Lowe and Dock S. Lowe Jr.; and sisters, Annie Maude Hayward and Georgia Irene Green.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at First Baptist Church. The Rev. Isaac Whitehead will officiate. Burial will be in Alta Vista Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center Foundation Oncology Service, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Suite 115, Gainesville, GA 30501.
