Enlisted on May 8th,1861 at Mossingford,Charlotte County.

Wounded at Fort Republie in 1862,again at Spotsylvania Courthouse on May 12,1864,captured and taken to Fort Deleware and released after the war.

Died at the Soldier's Home.
