WINSTON-SALEM - Michael Dwayne Shore, 53 of Winston Salem went home to be with his Lord Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Michael was born November 29, 1956 in Forsyth County a son of Robert Franklin Shore and Freida Gregory Shore. Michael was former employee of Elk Logistics and was a member of Friedland Moravian Church and loved NASCAR, loved to fish and loved to work on cars. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert F. Shore, Sr. and a son, Samuel Dwayne Shore. Surviving are his former wife, Joanna Shore of Winston-Salem; his mother, Freida Shore of Kernersville; two daughters, Emily Shore of Kernersville and Anna Shore of Winston-Salem; one sister, Jean Hackler and husband, Bobby of Kernersville; three brothers, Robert Shore, Jr. and wife, Kathy of Prescott, AZ, Garry Shore and Ricky Shore of Kernersville; and several nieces. Funeral Services for Michael will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Friedland Moravian Church with the Rev. Carol Foltz officiating. Burial will follow in the Friedland Moravian Church Graveyard. Michael will remain at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home (Wallburg Chapel) 10301 North NC Hwy. 109 Winston Salem until placed in the Church thirty minutes before the Service. The family will greet friends and neighbors after the service at the Church fellowship hall. Memorials may be directed to Friedland Moravian Church 2750 Friedland Church Rd. Winston Salem, NC 27107 or Hospice & Palliative Care Center 101 Hospice Lane Winston Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to extend a special Thanks to Susie in the ICU unit at Baptist Hospital and Dr. Roberts at the Baptist Hospital for all their special care to Michael.
