My beautiful great grandmother, Lydia Elmira Eckenrode was married to Jonathan William Melhorn and had 11 children...Peter Augustine-1880(my beloved grandpa), Bertha Mary-1882, Sylvester John-1884, Chester Edward-1886, Warren William, 1888, Caroline-1892, Marie Victoria-1895, Roy Raymond-1896, Calvin C.-1900, Aldah A. 1903 and a son Hallen-b unknown, who died in infancy. She was a devoted mother and died, much too soon, of breast cancer. She was well loved and lives in the hearts of her family, even those who never had the honor of knowing her.
