Hinckley - Mrs. Cora Jane Briggs, 79, widow of Roselle J. Briggs of this village, died Sept. 17, 1956 in her home, following a long illness.
She was born in Northwood, NY, Feb. 18, 1877, daughter of Jefferson and Mary Bronson Wheeler. She was married in Grant, NY. Mr. Briggs died in 1929.
She leaves five sons, Henry, Rome; Arthur and Roselle, Hinckley; Thomas and William, Newport; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Belknap, Syracuse and Miss Bertha Briggs, Newport; a sister, Mrs. Nettie Martin, Remsen; 19 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery.
