ROBERT EUGENE MILLER, Son of SELMA MABEL DENKER SCHLOTFELDT MILLER and PAUL ALBERT "Bert" MILLER.
Born in Davenport in 1947, Robert's Family moved to the Family farm owned in shares by his father, Grandfather, Paul Phillip Miller, and one of Paul Albert's 3 brothers, Richard Miller. Paul's mother was part of the Ashworth Family who settled that part of Polk County Northwest of Valley Junction (now West Des Moines, Iowa)
Robert's Grandfather, Paul Phillip, was Foreman of the Rock Island Railroad Roundhouse at Valley Junction, and had retired before Robert was born.
He graduated from Valley High School and attended Iowa State University in Ames and the University of Iowa at Iowa City.
Health issues with Huntington's caused him to drop out of the University and he worked at a Manufacturing facility in Des Moines before it was necessary for him to be in a care center in WDM. In school he had played footbal and was active in the Scouts.
He was buried along side his mother in a plot originally purchased by Selma's sister Rose's Wuestenberg family and then parceled out to Selma for herself, her first husband, Ernest Theodore Schlotfeldt and son, Fay plus two other secured from Dario Wuestenberg. Fay and Selma later agreed to give two of these to Paul Fred Peters and his wife. His Parents, Selma's sister Flossie and her husband Fred are also buried in this Masonic section.
