Mary C. Jones Aper, 92, of Lincoln died April 15, 2011 at St. Clara's Manor, Lincoln, Il.
Mary was born November 13, 1918 in Lincoln, IL., the daughter of Barney and Lela Sullivan Maloy. She was united in marriage to Melvin Jones in 1937. He preceded her in death. She is survived by one son, Ronald L. (Kay) Jones of Lincoln, 5 grandchildren, Renee Jones of Lincoln, Rod (Mary) Jones of Williamsville, IL., Randy Jones of Destin, Florida, Robbie (Gretchen) Jones of Lincoln, Il. and Richie (Jani) Jones of Lincoln, Il., 10 great grandchildren, two sisters, Betty Purdue and Marjorie Fitzsimmons both of Lincoln. Mary was preceded in death by one brother, William (Bud) Maloy and one sister, Henrietta Gillard.
Graveside services for Mrs. Aper will be Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln, Il. with Rev. John Pham officiating. Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, Il. is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Clara's Manor, Lincoln, Il.
Mary worked for Lincoln Daily Courier for 25 years. She was a member of Holy Family Church of Lincoln, Il., Eagles Lodge and Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.
