He settled in Nemaha County, NE and married Adeline Oller Morrison Apr 7, 1876 Hancock County, IL, daughter of John C. and Susanna Oller Morrison. They were parents of six daughters: Sarah, Adelaide, Alice, Zala, Rosa, and Elizabeth. He died of a heart attack while hauling freight in Auburn.
