Francis D. "Frank" Fink, 93, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center, while surrounded by his family.

Frank was born in Williamsport on June 23, 1917, a son of David C. and Mary W. Dempsey Fink.

He was a 1935 graduate of Williamsport High School and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church his entire adult life.

A World War II Army veteran he served with the 10th Mountain Div., Co. C, 87th Reg. and was the recipient of the Bronze Star for bravery.

Frank was the owner of several area restaurants and taverns, most recently he was the former owner of the Bridge Tavern in South Williamsport.

An avid Penn State fan, he was a member of the Nittany Lion Club as well as a fan of the N.Y. Yankees and of all sports.

His greatest joy was spending time with friends and especially with his family.

He and his wife, the former Rita M. Bertin, celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on April 25, 2010.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are four daughters, Patricia A. (Bruce) Birkby of Colo., Christine M. (Jeff) Rauff of Montoursville, Marilyn E. (Gary) Kline of Calif., Janice A. (Joseph) Clark of Williamsport; two sons, David G. and Thomas M. (Karen) Fink, all of Williamsport, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Four brothers, William, Charles, Edward and Bernard Fink, and three sisters, Agnes Pulizzi, Betty Fink and Mary Delker, all preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the church, 326 Washington Blvd., with his pastor, Msgr. Stephen D. McGough, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County.

The family will receive family and friends in the church lounge from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully suggests memorial contributions in Frank's name may be made to American Heart Assoc., 1704 Warren Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701 or The Msgr. Eugene J. Clark endowment fund at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 326 Washington Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
