Son of George Schoonmaker Vosburgh (1814-1891) and Maria Proper Vosburgh (1829-1910). Brother to Fanny Ellena Vosburgh Coon (1847-1916), Sarah Margaret Vosburgh Coon (1849-1942), Henrietta Vosburgh Myers (1850-1932), Edgar G Vosburgh (1853-?),Catharine C Vosburgh (1855-1856), Katherine Ann Vosburgh (1857-1927), Jacob Chauncey Vosburgh (1864-1913), Mary Elizabeth Vosburgh (1865-1868) and Ellen C Vosburgh Bliss (1870-1913). He was also half brother to William Henry Vosburgh (1838-1839), Willy Vosburgh (1839-1840) and George Washington Vosburgh (1841-1841) by his Father's first wife Fanny Coon (1819-1842).
He married Clara Moore (1861-1945) in 1889. There were no children from this union. They lived most of their married life in New Jersey but rest in the Family Cemetery here in Upper Red Hook.
