Couch Services
Are Held Today

Services for Calvin R. Couch, were held this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from Bernestein's Chapel with Rev. William A. Tyson Jr, pastor of Young Harris Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial was in Corinth Baptist Cemetery, Harry Fowler, Clarence Brooks, L. M. Mize, Arthur Manus, J. G. Wade and A. B. Sharp serving as pall-bearers.

Mr. Couch died in a local hospital Tuesday at 11:30 p.m. after an illness of one week. He was 64 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella May Evans Couch, Athens; one daughter, Mrs. O. B. Matthews, Athens, four sons, Harry R. Couch, Dallas, Texas, C. E. Couch Green Cove Springs, Fla, C. H. Couch, U.S. Navy, Philadelphia, Penn, and Olaf J. Couch, U.S. Navy, Jacksonville, Fla, four sisters, Mrs. L. H. Epps, and Mrs. C. M. Speed, both of Athens, Mrs. Callie Epps, Meridan, Miss, and Mrs. W. Brittain, Dalton; one brother, H. D. Couch, Athens, and eight grandchildren.

Mr. Couch was a native of Oconee County and had lived in Athens for forty years, residing at 1393 Boulevard.
