Mrs. Sara L. Cheney Died Saturday
Mrs. Sara L. Cheney,65, of Reidsville, died Saturday at home after a long illness.
The Rome native was a member of Reidsville Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Surviving are two sons, Curtis Vann Cheney, Jr. and Glen Cheney, both of Reidsville; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Hartman of Athens; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Bert Register, Jr., Roger Kennedy, Jr., J.W. Robertson, Scott McGregor, Jack Hill, and Bobby Collins.
Funeral services were held Monday a 3 p.m. at Reidsville Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Carlton Duke and Rev. Sterling Bargeron. Burial was in the Reidsville City Cemetery.
McCall Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
