DENTON - Donald Neatherlin Carlton, a retired engineer for the Texas Highway Department, died Saturday at a Denton hospital from injuries suffered in an automobile accident Feb. 3. He was 85.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church in Fort Davis, where he was a member. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Fort Davis.
Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Home in Denton is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Carlton was born in Fort Davis. He was a Navy veteran.
His wife, Vida Mae Carlton, died Feb. 3 of injuries suffered in the accident.
The family suggests that memorials be made to West Texas Boys Ranch, 10223 Boys Ranch Road, San Angelo 76904-9989.
Survivors: Two daughters, Jo Ann Wheeler of Denton and Nancy Carlton of Bristol, England; son, Donald N. Carlton II of Midland; brother, C.E. Carlton of Fort Davis; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
