Private George D. Flagler served in the Civil War for a short time. He was drafted in 1864, and died in Madison, WI before he could be assigned to a Wisconsin Regiment. He died November 9th, 1864 at Harvey General Hospital, Madison Wisconsin from Typhoid Fever. He Registered for the draft on 1 July, 1863.
He was the son of Peter Benjamin Flagler born May 26th, 1809 in Dutchess New York and died October 2, 1856 in Rock County Wisconsin, and Mary Ann (Storm) Flagler born 1814 in Pennsylvania (Death not known). They had ten children:
