Mrs. Martha Gregory, widow of the late Dr. W.W. Gregory, of Charlotte, and step-mother of Mr. W.H.H. Gregory, of this place, died at her home at Asheville Sunday night. Her remains were brought here by Monday's train and were placed in the Presbyterian church where they remained until Tuesday afternoon, when, after funeral exercises conducted by Rev. Dr. Wood, they were interred in the cemetery near by, where her husband, who died here about a year and a half ago, was buried.
