Arlie B. "B" Gowins, 81, of Bryan, OH, formerly of Mercer County, died Thursday, November 15, 2001 at his residence.
Born in Washington County, he was the son of the late Caleb and Maggie Jane Votaw Gowins. He was the widower of Mary Hayden Coker Gowins. He was a retired welder from Challenge-Cook in Bryan, OH and a member of Mt. Zion Church in Washington County.
Survivors include: two sons, Marvin B. Gowins, Bryan, OH, Monty Joe Gowins, Alburn, IN; two daughters, Brenda C. Zabaroni, Rochester Hill, Michigan, Marilyn Kay Gowins, Defiance, OH; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and Allen Gowins, one sister, Rene Cornish; one daughter, Denise Ann Gowins and one son, Ronald Gowins.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 18, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Donald Litteral officiating.
Burial was in the Cornishville Christian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Denny Coslow, Terry Coslow, Johnny Warner, Donnie Tyler, Tony Gowins, Larry Gowins, Marty Gowins, Todd Zabaroni and Stephen Zabaroni.
