She was the daughter of Herbert and Loretta (Rabyor) Babcock. She married Kenneth Wells on June 26, 1943, in Janesville; he died May 28, 1981. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was an avid swimmer and diver, winning numerous medals for St. Mary's. She is survived by 6 children: Suzanne (Edward) Beggs and Jennifer Wells, both of Janesville, Cheri (Daniel) Karcz of Green Bay, Ronald, Christine and David; 3 sisters: Mary (Ken) Roach of Janesville, Eileen (Ernest) Kopp of Evansville and Betty (Dan) Davey of North Augusta, SC; 2 brothers, Franklin (Noreen) Babcock and Wesley (Dorothy) Babcock, both of Janesville; 8 grandchildren including a special grandchild, Kayla Wells; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 2 sisters, Letha and Ruth Babcock, who were both killed in an auto accident on October 18, 1941. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
