Bessie E. Watson Priar, 85, of 2979 South Hampton Road, Owensboro, died Tuesday, June 29, 1999, at her home. She was born in McLean County, was a homemaker and a member of Community Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy C. Watson, in 1974; and a daughter, Frances Watson, in 1990.
Survivors include her husband, Barney Lee Priar; four sons, Clarence Watson, Bill Watson, Andy Watson and Robert Watson, all of Owensboro; three daughters, Dorothy Raymond, Ava Morris and Helen Hurd, all of Owensboro; 20 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Haley-McGinnis&Owensboro Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
