Lawrence Janning, about 56, of Kasson, Minn., died January 9, in a Rochester, Minn., hospital. He had been ill about three months.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Catholic church at Kasson, with burial in the Kasson Cemetery.
Mr. Janning is survived by his wife, the former Mildred Thelen of Lidderdale; a daugher, Mrs. Clem (Marjorie) Besch, and three grandchildren , all of Kasson. His father was the late Henry Janning, former Carroll County resident.

The 1910 census shows the family at Kniest, Carroll, Iowa.
Lawrence was listed as a brother of:
Edwin, Viola, Bernice, Herald, Mildred and Elmer.
On November 17, 1931, Lawrence married Mildred Thelen, daughter of John F. and Mary Schulte Thelen; the ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father J. A. Underberg at the Holy Family church in Lidderdale, Carroll County, Iowa.
