Marilyn Bidwell
SPRINGFIELD — A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. today, April 15, at New Hope Baptist Church in Creswell for Marilyn Bidwell of Springfield, who died April 12 of age-related causes. She was 84.
She was born March 1, 1927, in Hecla, S.D., to Carl and Tracie Johnson Morris. She married Charles Bidwell on Jan. 28, 1956, in Seattle. He died March 18, 1999.
She earned her GED from and attended one year of college at Fullerton Junior College in California. She worked as an engraver for many years, making plates for the printing of business cards, diplomas and other stock. In her later years, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Dick of Walterville and Raymond of Yorba Linda, Calif.; three daughters, Carolyn Noll of Arlington, Wash., Penny Lannoye of Springfield and Linda Frappia of Lake Forest, Calif.; two brothers, Elwin Morris of Tehachapi, Calif., and Ernest Morris of Michigan; a sister, Christine Ottmar of Keego, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Marolyn Ferguson, and a stepson, Bud Warren, died previously.
Inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Arrangements by Andreason's Cremation & Burial Service in Springfield.
