Mrs. Maria B. Akers, 82, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ira Duvall of Osceola Mills, Monday, October 11, 1954. She was born at Akersville June 4, 1872, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Wink. Mrs. Akers was a member of the Akersville Methodist Church. She is survived by the following children: Earl A. Jackson and Mrs. Mary Hixon of Crystal Spring and Mrs. Ramie Duvall, wife of Rev. Ira Duvall of Osceola Mills. Ten grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Ella Duvall of Crystal Spring, Mrs. Eva Duvall of Wells Tannery and Mrs. Louise Feight of Breezewood also survive. Her first husband, Berdine Jackson preceded her in death in 1902 and her second, Otis Akers, died in 1943. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon of last week from the Akersville Methodist Church with the Rev. Ira Duvall officiating. Interment was in the Akersville Cemetery.
