He is survived by his loving stepmother, Mattie Scott, Baton Rouge; three sisters, Naomi Payne, Jean and husband L'Jean McKneely Sr., and Kay and husband Larry Brue, all of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Ledell and Herman Scott, both of Baton Rouge, and Lionel and wife Shirley Scott, of Huntsville, Ala.; sister-in-law, Shirley Scott; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Arrangements entrusted to Hall's Celebration Center. Visiting at Elm Park Baptist Church, 5150 Landis Drive, until religious service, conducted by the Rev. Barry Guy. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the Rev. Bennett and Elizabeth Scott; sisters, Louise Sanders, Doretha Williams, Velma Augustus and Bessie Houston; and brothers, Harry Lee Scott and Leo B. Scott.
