Johnny W. Norton 59, of Hortense died Friday at the Hospice of the Golden Isles.
A native of Brunswick GA, Mr. Norton was a graduate of Glynn Academy and served in the U.S. Marines.
He was a licensed electrician.
The funeral will be held at 11a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Diane Sheahen Holt officiating.
Burial will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Wayne County, Jesup, Ga. (off hwy 341 on Akin Rd in Mount Pleasant).
Pallbearers will be Paul Spaulding, Allen Bell, Mike Ray, Brian Miller, Toby O'Quinn, Jim Redding and Jack Bennett.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Surviving are his wife Joyce E Hope Norton of Hortense GA, a son Richard Allen Norton of Hortense, a daughter Callie Norton of Hortense. and two sisters, Betty N Norton Rasmussen of Jekyll Island, GA and Marie Norton Beck of Kingsport, TN.

He had a son and daughter from his previous marriage George Norton and a daughter. A stepson Jason Brook Branch
