Cheryl Talley was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 20th, 1946 and died in her Memphis home on Friday, November 12, 2010 at age 64. Cheryl received her Masters from Memphis State University. She was a dedicated employee of the Delta Medical Center for almost thirty years, most recently serving as the Executive Director of Behavioral Health Service. Throughout her career she counseled hundreds, and many patients as well as friends have seen her as their north star. Her incredible sense of humor will long be remembered by those who had the opportunity to enjoy her quick wit and her funny stories. She was known for her compassion for people and animals alike. Cheryl is survived by her two siblings, Shannon Ray and Rik Talley. Her visitation will be held on Monday, November 15, at Collierville Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. Her funeral will be at the same location on Tuesday, November 16, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Humane Society of the United States.
