Paul Walter Jones
Paul Walter Jones, 80, formerly of 6465 Osborne Road, Delton, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 1991, in Evergreen Manor where he had been a patient since March 27.
He was born in Battle Creek and he lived in the area most of his life. He moved to Jackson in 1951, returning to the Battle Creek/Delton area in 1979.
He farmed with his father in the Pennfield Township area until the early 1940s. Later, he was a semi truck driver with E & L Transport Co., Dearborn, for 24 years, retiring in 1970.
He enjoyed reading and traveling.
Surviving are daughters, Charlotte L. Grove of Battle Creek, Virginia Emery of Newfield, N.Y., Doris Carter of Mesa, Ariz., and Lynda Warden of Mayville; sons, Herbert P. Jones of Great Falls, Mont., and James W. and Phillip D. Jones, both of Delton; 44 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
His wife, the former Ruth Keys, died in 1978. An infant daughter, Judith Gail Jones, died in 1942.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Bachman Hebble Funeral Service. Memorials may go to Michigan Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

Interment Fairviwe Cemetery, Homer, Michigan. Memorial tributes may be made to The Michigan Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
