Marie Sanders, age 48, of Waycross, died early Wednesday Morning (April 13, 2011) at Satilla Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Sanders was a native of Clinch County but had lived most of her life in Ware County. She is the daughter of the late Violas Boyd and Nancy Ott Boyd. She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Sanders and her first husband Jimmy Day Sr.
Ms. Marie attended Brunell St. Church of God.
Mrs. Sanders is survived by 1 daughter Lindsey Day of Blackshear, 1 son Jimmy L. Day Jr. of Waycross, 2 grandchildren Jenna Brooks and Brenlie Day both of Blackshear, her Mother Nancy Boyd of Waycross, 4 Sisters Sandy Baughan (Kent) of Millwood, Rhonda Boyd of Waycross, Linda Smith of Waycross, 2 Brothers Keith Boyd and Tony Boyd both of Waycross, a significant other Thomas Carter of Waycross and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service for Ms. Sanders will be Saturday morning in the Chapel of Smith Funeral Home at 10 O'Clock. Burial will follow in the Swamp Rd. Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home.
