CULLMAN-Funeral services for Doug Cornelius, 78, of Cullman will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev Jackie Camp officiating, with interment in Crossroads Cemetery.

Mr. Cornelius passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 at Cullman Regional Medical Center, he was born June 8, 1932 in Cullman to Nim and Louise Seifert Cornelius. He was the owner/operator of Cornelius Dozer and Heavy Equipment Company. He served two terms as Cullman County Commissioner and on the Cullman County School Board for two terms. Doug loved working with people and serving his neighbors of Cullman County. He loved his family and had a special love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Bonnie Rusk Cornelius.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Cornelius; two daughters, Carol (Billy) Rigsby and Tina Cornelius; 2 sons, Ricky (Anita) Cornelius and Mike (Cindy) Witcher; brother, Edward (Maxine) Cornelius; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
