2) Ella Aurelia Andrews (1862-1927), who married John B. Howell;

4) David Andrews (1868-1941), who married Edith Maud Nicholls;

Obituary:

Amos H. Andrews, Sr., one of the early settlers of the county and a prominent farmer of Indianfields township until advancing years prevented active supervision of the place, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. B. Howell in Bridgeport, Sunday, March 18. He had reached the age of 87 years, 3 months, and 15 days.

Born in Geauga County, Ohio, December 3, 1835, he came to this county when only 17 years old in company with his father, and settled on the farm still known as the "Amos Andrews Farm", living there until after the death of his wife November 4, 1914.

In 1858 he married Miss Jane Augusta Sutton, of Geauga County, Ohio, and to the union five children were born, three of whom are living: Mrs. J.B. Howell, Bridgeport; David H. of Cleveland, Ohio, and Amos H. Andrews, Jr., of Caro. He also leaves eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Andrews was converted in February 1856 during a series of meetings held in Watrousville by the Rev. Erastus Klumph, who later officiated at his wedding. He immediately united with the Watrousville church but in 1865 Rev. Jesse B. Russch established the first regular preaching appointment in Caro, and organized a Methodist class with nine charter members, Mr. Andrews transferring his membership to make the number nine.

Funeral services were held in Caro M.E. church Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E.J. Warren, a former pastor, assisted by Rev. C.E. Doty, and were attended by a large company of old friends of the family.

(Tuscola County Advertiser, March 1923.)

Amos H. Andrews, Senior, was eighty years young Friday and the occasion was celebrated at the home of his son, David H. Andrews, on East Frank Street, with whom he makes his home. His daughter, Mrs. Ella Howell of Saginaw, and his son, Amos Andrews, Jr., and family joined in making the day a memorable one. A fine birthday dinner with a centerpiece of 80 lighted candles was enjoyed. Mr. Andrews is quite well except for rheumatism which prevents his walking much, but he likes motoring and has ridden 1500 miles this year.
