Veronica M. Bruemmer, 89, of New Carlisle formerly of Michigan City passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 1:25 a.m. at Hamilton Grove in New Carlisle, Indiana.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Church with the Rev. Keith McClellan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Church.
Root Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Veronica was born December 11, 1921 in Otis, Indiana to the late Walter and Regina (Polack) Ryba.
On May 24, 1941 in Otis, she married Frederick H. Bruemmer who passed away on March 19, 2003 after 61 years of marriage.
Surviving is one daughter, Barbara (Roman) Macudzinski of New Buffalo, Michigan; two sons, Frederick W. Bruemmer (Elaine) of St. Louis, Missouri and Edward (Marge) Bruemmer of Westville, 10 grandchildren, Paul (Kim) Bruemmer, Nicki (Andy) Bristow, Jennifer (Byron) Hurt, Jason (Nikki) Bruemmer, Jonathan (Brandi) Bruemmer, Julie Bruemmer, Scott Bruemmer, Kelly (Thomas) Bochholdt, Roman R. (Elizabeth) Macudzinski and Anna Macudzinski; eight great-grandchildren, Benjamen, Kayla and Thomas Bruemmer, Madison, Grace and Josh Bristow, Camden Bruemmer, Jordan and Jasyme Hurt; one brother, Valentine Ryba and one sister, Anna Korta.
Preceding in death is one son, Richard Bruemmer; two sisters, Mary Knoll and Victoria Becktold; and seven brothers, Casimer, Walter, Julius, William, Joseph, John and Aloysius Ryba.
Veronica was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Memorials may be made to Hamilton Residential Fund in New Carlisle, Indiana or the Ahlzeimers Foundation.
