Graveside services for Powderly, Texas, resident Alice Piearcy, 53, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Valliant Cemetery. Miller & Miller Funeral Home, Valliant, is in charge of arrangement.
Piearcy died Wednesday at Crescent Care Center, Paris, Texas. She was born Feb. 17, 1947, in Valliant, Oklahoma the daughter of Vance and Lurene (Upton) Petty. She had lived most of her life in the Valliant area.
She married Verlon Piearcy on May 25, 1993. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include one son, Matthew Mahoney, Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Lori Sutherland, Powderly, Texas and Wendy Caplinger, Gober, Texas; her mother, Lurene Petty, Valliant; five sisters, Edith Threet, Paris, Texas, Linda Graham, Seagoville, Texas, Eunice Woods and Pam Benjamin, both of Valliant, and Vickie Mitchell of Kentucky; eight granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
