He is my brother

***** I was only three years old when my uncle died and so I never really knew him. However, my mother lovingly talked about her brother all the time so we would never forget him. Her face always lit up when she talked about him, followed by tears. Since she has now passed, I continue to share his memory with my children so they too will never forget him. A proud, yet sad moment for us was when we lived in D.C. and went to see his name on 'the wall.' For those who didn't know him, it's a wonderful feeling to know that he still exists, if only in our thoughts. Thank you for remembering my uncle as one of our heroes who paid the ultimate price for our freedom!
