Danny Ray Haney, 53, died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born March 25, 1958, in Union and reared in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Walter Jerome and Madie Lee Gorley Haney.

He graduated from Union High School, was employed with Wendell Lee Well Service, and of the Baptist faith. He loved playing guitar, hunting, fishing, camping, and being Papa to his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Debra Kay Kelly Haney; two daughters, Melissa Dawn "Missy" Parks of Pauline and Tessa Marie Wilson of Duncan; a son, Lucas Lee Haney of the home; three grandsons, Tanner Wilson, Trevor Wilson, and Carter Peeler; two brothers, Alfred Haney of Buffalo and Ricky Haney of Union; and three sisters, Judy Petty of Buffalo, Nancy Solesbee of Grovetown, GA, and Faye Henderson of Union. He was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Haney and a sister, Carolyn Haney.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Donnie Tillman. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
