KINSTON - Mrs. Huldah Truitt Hardy, Whitley, aged 40, wife of James Norwood Whitley, of Stantonsburg, died in Memorial General hospital here Sunday at 2:15 following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of her father, Dr. Ira M. Hardy, 311 West Lenoir avenue, with interment in the Stantonsburg cemetery. The Reverend Edwin F. Mosley, local Episcopal minister, and the Reverend B. T. Hurley, Methodist minister of Stantonsburg, will officiate.

Surviving in addition to her husband and father are three children, John Hiram and twins, Mary Baynor and James Norwood Whitley, all of the home; one brother, Jesse Hardy of Morehead City; two sisters, Mrs. David Jackson Cooper of Columbus, Ga., and Mrs. Demsey W. Hodges of Kinston; two aunts.
