PRICE- Andrew Oman, 85, 275 South First East St., died at his home here following an operation, Thursday morning.

Mr. Oman was born on April 12, 1866, at Mount Pleasant, the son of Aaron G. and Annie Jensen Oman. He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in the Price Third Ward.

Mr. Oman lived in Mt. Pleasant until 1910, at which time he moved to Price. With his father, he did contract work on the contruction of the Manti LDS Temple. He helped contruct and develop the first sewer system in Salt Lake City in 1909. He has also worked on construction of the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad in eastern Utah.

On Sept. 12, 1889, he married Celestia Draper in Manti. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple in May, 1896. She died in 1942.

He is survived by six sons and five daughters: Earl A. Oman, Hermiston, Ore.; Mrs. Inez Critchlow, Price; Mrs. Clara Milner, serving in the mission field for the LDS Church at El Paso, Tex.; George I. Oman, Price; Clyde D. Oman, Brigham City; Mrs. Rae Cady, Washington D.C.; Mrs. Addie Abrams, Price; Milton A. Oman, Salt Lake City; Odell M. Oman, Price; Mrs. Alma Klitgaard, Brigham City, and Dorse M. Oman, Price; a foster son, George Barza, Salem, Ore.; two brothers, William Oman of Doneta, Utah, and James L. Oman of Salt Lake City; 38 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Wallace Mortuary of Price.
