Denise K. Russell, 47, of Coralville died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at her home.
Born July 28, 1963, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Marshall and Donna Stewart Peterson. In 1982, she married Harry Russell.
Mrs. Russell worked 20 years at University of Iowa bookstore and recently worked as a custodial supervisor. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1982.
She enjoyed anything Disney, especially Mickey Mouse, scrap booking, traveling with family, boating, her two golden retrievers, friends and family.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Sarah O'Brien of Coralville; her parents of Burlington; one brother, Jeffrey Peterson of Burlington; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City, where family will receive friends.
The funeral for Mrs. Russell will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Gay and Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery in Coralville.
