William Henry Scoville was the first son and second child born to Edward and Lydia (Culp) Scoville. He had three sisters Ann, Martha, who died as a child, and Mary; and two brothers Warren and John, who also died as a child.

Comments from John Scoville:
William H Scoville owned a 109 acre farm in Section 29 at Stafford Twp., DeKalb Co, Indiana from March 12, 1868 to Jan 13, 1888. Charles Reign Scoville was most likely born at the home on this farm. The farm laid to the north of William's father, Edward Scoville. In Dec 1885 the house burned down. The local paper stated that William's house had burned down and he intended to rebuild. The second house burned down around 1900 and a third house was built on the site. In 1947 99 acres of the farm was purchased by my parents and this is were I grew up.
John is the son of Rodney, grandson of Frank, great grandson of Warren Enoch and great great grandson of Edward.
