Major League Baseball Player. He made his major league debut as left handed pitcher for the New York Giants on September 13, 1927, playing for Giants 1927 to 1932 and for the St. Louis Cardinals, 1933 to 1936. In his ten season career, he pitched in 272 games with 97 wins, 77 lost, 8 saves, 626 strike outs and a 3.59 earned run average.
