Raymond served as a Technician Fifth Grade in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided at 1134 Joseph Avenue, Rochester, Monroe County, New York prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on February 14, 1942 at Fort Niagara, Youngstown, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed in the photographic occupation and also as Single without dependants.

Raymond was "Killed In Action" during an air raid in England during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.

He was first interred in England and then re-interred here on July 13, 1948.
