Brother of Mrs. Mary Bevilacqua, Mrs. Lena Saporito, Mrs. Irma D'Amato, Sgt. Vito A. Berardi, Corp. August S. Berardi, PFC Robert D. Berardi, and Frank E. Berardi.

Benjamin served as a Corporal with the 6th Armored Division, Infantry, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in Rochester, Monroe County, New York prior to the war. He was employed at Rochester Gas and Electric prior to the war.

He was one of five (5) brothers serving in the armed forces during the war. He enlisted in the Army on January 26, 1942 in Fort Niagara, Youngstown, NY. He was noted as Single, without dependents.

He attended his Army basic training at Fort Know, Kentucky and was sent overseas in May, 1942.

Benjamin was "Killed In Action" in Italy during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.

He was first interred overseas and then re-interred here on July 14, 1949.

His brother, Sgt. Vito A. Berardi, was also later "Killed In Action" in Germany and they are interred next to each other.
