This plaque in the middle of the cemetery, placed there when the DAR restored the cemetery in 1975, lists the soldiers who are buried here: Three from the American Revolution (John Long, John Sappington, Joseph Wells), five from the War of 1812 (William Lindsey Long, John Sappington, Thomas Sappington, Zephaniah Sappington, Richard Wells), two from the Mexican War (Thomas Sanford Long, Samuel Parke), three from the Civil War (John Sappington Parke, Thomas Jefferson Sappington, Henry Fenton Steinhauer, M.D.) & one from World War I (Mauro Eads Smith.) The soldiers who have individual grave markers have small bronze markers which indicate the war in which they fought.
