Mrs. Joseph West died Sunday at home here.
Mrs. Zeffie West, wife of Joseph West died at the family home in this city, Sunday morning September 17. Her Death closed an illness of about a year's duration and all medical skill was of no avail to restore her to health.
She was born in Sturgeon, Mo on October 2, 1889 and when a little girl was brought to Ray County and had lived here the remainder of her life.
She was united in marriage to Joseph West on August 21, 1903, who survives. She is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Paul Taylor of San Diego Ca, Mrs. Wm. Duncan of Richmond and Mrs. Everette Porter of Compton, Ca;
Five brothers: Burl Hill and Ross Hill of Excelsior Springs, James and Perry Hill of Richmond and Jay hill of Winston, Mo; One sister; Mrs. W.O. Smith of Richmond.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Thurman Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. W.E. Davis of the Baptist Church. Interment was in Sunny Slop Cemetery.
She died from Cancer of the uterus.
