US Congressman. Born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin and was a specialist in the machine-tool industry, (1942-65). He was a member of the Wisconsin State Board of Vocational and Adult Education (1960-65), Fond du Lac County Supervisor (1958, 1960-62) and chairman of Fond du Lac County Democratic Party, (1959-65). In 1965, he was elected as a Democrat to the Eighty-ninth Congress, serving until 1967. An unsuccessful candidate for reelection, he was a senior salesman for the Central Electric Supply Company in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, until his death at age 69.
