Not much is known of my 3rd Great-Grandfather Aquilla
We can follow his family here in Iowa, but not much else. There is a discrepency on ancestry family trees, that I noticed, reguarding his place of birth. Most records say Tennesee but some trees say Maryland.

He married Lucinda Duncan Feb.3 1824, Washington County, Tennesee
They had 9 daughters and one son, Boyd their only son, died very young.

The girls were:
Nancy, Elizabeth, Mary Jane, Rosannah, Sarah, Matilda, Lydia, Priscilla Jane, and Lucinda E.
And I have been able to find most of them in Marion,County, Iowa near Pleasantville

Census records "1850" show his occupation as: Boatman

War of 1812 Service Records
Name: Aquilla Parker
Company: 4 REG'T (BAYLES') EAST TENNESSEE MILITIA.
Rank - Induction: PRIVATE
Rank - Discharge: PRIVATE
Roll Box: 159 Roll Exct: 602
